About the Chemistry Centre

The Chemistry Centre is a beautifully-restored Grade II listed facility, with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment and a fine dining experience with a creative flair.

The coffee room at The Chemistry Centre

Formally opened on 30 April 2010 by RSC President Professor David Garner, the Chemistry Centre was developed to exploit the full potential of our city centre location in Burlington House on London’s Piccadilly.  We have a long and proud heritage, which we share with the Royal Academy of Arts and four other learned societies in Burlington House.

The Chemistry Centre is our principal venue for public lectures on a wide variety of fascinating topics each month.  You can find out more about our public lectures and similar events through our events link page.  The Chemistry Centre also serves as an important meeting place for many of our expert scientific interest groups, who help advance the work of the RSC.

This wonderfully renovated space is available for hire, offering six meeting rooms, ideal for conferences, lectures, board meetings, dinners and receptions.  The Chemistry Centre is sure to impress your guests with its heritage and chemistry-themed menu provided by Vacherin.
